In full disclosure, I do not know if Anderson is paid by a contract through federal grants or if he is directly paid by the tribe. Either way, I think the Hatch Act has been violated because though the tribe is considered a sovereign nation, ...

    Short answer: No.
    Long answer: Being employed by a Native American Tribe isn’t the same. Check with the US Office of Special Counsel. They are the ones that enforce the Hatch Act.
